Although we come from different parts of the world and have had very different lives, my Mother-in-Law and I get along famously. When she visits, we do lunch and cocktails. In the evenings, we watch her beloved telenovelas, the tear-filled Spanish-language soap operas. I came up with the idea for this Web site so we would have a hobby to do together when she goes back home.

The idea is timeless: An advice column about love and life, as seen through my Mother-in-Law’s eyes. She truly is a wonderful woman with a wealth of life experience, not the least from raising four kids. The soap operas also add to her expertise. In short, she is qualified to give casual advice on the Web.

However, this will have to be an experiment in low-tech/high-tech blogging, since my Mother-in-Law doesn’t have a computer, much less Internet access. So send me your questions by email.
