    Dear Mother-in-Law,

I’m stymied. Since I was divorced my family has kind of been pushing my ex-wife away. I am afraid they are doing this simply because of the breakup, but I wish they would not reject her because for about 15 years she was very close to them, and not with her own family, because they lived far away. The latest “problem” in this regard is they are wanting to not invite her to the annual family reunion gathering which she was accustomed to attending. By the way, I have not remarried. I just hate to see her saddened by the family’s rejection.
